Please be aware behavior that is deemed disruptive and or potentially harmful by a Coach/Fencer/Adult will not be permitted within or immediately outside the club. These behaviors include but are not limited to: running around the club unsupervised, shouting, wrestling, hitting others with or without an object, coming within dangerous proximity to a fencer or fencers engaged in bouting, footwork or other fencing activities.
1. It is the responsibility of the fencer and the fencer's parents/ guardian to know and understand these policies.
2. In the case of a fencer who is a minor, it is the responsibility of a parent/ guardian to monitor their child when at the club. If the parent/guardian is not present, Coaches will monitor as much as feasibly possible. Other fencers and adults/guardians are welcome to monitor. Parents are not to interfere with classes, private lessons, or bouting behind addressing inappropriate, disrupting or dangerous behavior being exhibited by the child/children.
3. Fencers must hold their weapons with the tip down when others are in close proximity. It is the fencer's responsibility to be situationally aware. Fencers must have their own marks on the strip the whole time.
4. All individuals at the club must be aware and careful not to trip over floor reel wires while fencers are bouting.
5. The purpose of these policies is to foster an environment in which fencers are safe and in which training can continue without interruption.
6. Violation of any of the policies can result in disciplinary actions by a coach.
7. Mask, Glove, fencing jacket, knickers, plastron, and clean athletic shoes must be worn when fencing.
8. Any illness, injury or the taking of medication must be reported to the instructor before lessons or practice. No participation while under the influence of medicines or chemicals which cause drowsiness or disorientation.
9. Any person not abiding by TEAM K FENCING (TeamK) rules may be subject to expulsion. Without a refund membership fee, Purchased private lessons, and initiation fee.
1. Memberships start from the date you sign the Membership Agreement Form. A TeamK member also must list (TEAM K FENCING) as their primary club on their United States Fencing Association Membership form as well as on the www.askfred.net entries, and tournament registration. TeamK members must represent TeamK Fencing as their primary club in order to retain member benefits and discounts. In some circumstances, unattached fencers might also be permitted to retain TeamK benefits. Any fencer who may have questions or issues with their primary affiliation must consult with the TeamK head coach to determine if TeamK membership benefits can be applied.
2. Every TeamK member must represent TeamK Fencing at any USFA-sanctioned competition that they participate in and wear their TeamK patch either on their uniform either on the shoulder of their non-dominant arm sleeve or on the side of their thigh (back leg).
3. All members who do not abide by membership policies #1 and #2 are subject to paying the non- member fee structure.
4. If two TeamK members have the unfortunate situation of having to fence against each other at a competition, they can not be coached.
5. In order to come to TeamK Fencing, there is a base monthly membership fee that must be paid of $160. If you would like additional services (Private lesson, Special camps, etc) they must be paid for separately and in addition to your membership fee.
6. Failure to attend class does not signify or imply notification to cancel this agreement.
- a. Failure to attend a class does not entitle the member to a make-up session or rollover.
7. Team.K Fencing may modify the class schedule and may close the training facility on national holidays, for special events, and up to 10 days per year for necessary maintenance. Modifications and closures do not relieve the member of their payment obligations under any circumstance.

9. CANCELLATION Membership : Should you choose to cancel your membership, all remaining lessons and memberships will be automatically terminated, and no refunds will be issued. Additionally, your personal data will be deleted
1. All fencers must abide by TeamK fencing's safety and behavior rules.
2. During cross-training, warm-ups and private lessons, only knickers, sweatpants or medium to long length shorts are considered acceptable sportswear for athletes’ legs.
3. Any damage incurred to TeamK fencing equipment, TeamK fencing owned or rented facilities or fixtures due to negligence, will be the financial responsibility of the person or persons that caused the damage.
4. Team.K Fencing and those acting under its authority reserve the right to use photographs, videotapes, artwork, or other likenesses of the member for marketing, trade, publishing or any other lawful purpose.
5. Member authorizes the use of a disclosed email address for billing purposes and correspondence related to their account and Team.K Fencing events.
6. Only official TeamK coaches (permanent or invited) are allowed to give fencing lessons (individual or otherwise) within the confines of TeamK fencing.
7. Only TeamK coaches can approve any changes in a fencer's group class level. Also, to be considered for any Advanced Elite Class, a fencer must be at least 12 years old or have Y14 national points.
8. Policy and rules are subjected to change by TeamK fencing management.
I hereby assume all of the risks of participating in this Team. K Fencing, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.
I certify that I am physically fit and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this Open Fencing. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the organizers of the Team. K Open Fencing in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said Team. K Open Fencing.
In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this Team. K Fencing, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:
(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this Sports Camp. THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: ALL in Team K Fencing, Kay Kim, and/or their coaches, agents, representatives or volunteers are included.
(B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this Fencing, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
I acknowledge this Team. K Fencing may carry with it the potential for death, serious injury, and personal loss. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, coaches, and lack of hydration.
I consent and agree that Team. K Fencing, and/or their coaches, agents, representatives or volunteers may take photographs or digital recordings of me as a participant during this event and use these in any and all media for training or promotional purposes. I further consent that my identity may be revealed therein or by description text or commentary. I waive any rights, claims or interest and I understand that there will be no financial or other remuneration.
The accident waiver, release of liability and image release shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
